- 01Domiciliary eye care means having your eye test carried out in your own home or care home by a qualified optometrist. This service is ideal for those who have difficulty visiting a high street optician due to mobility, health, or personal reasons.
- 02All eye examinations are carried out by fully qualified optometrists registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) and insured by the Association of Optometrists (AOP). We bring all the necessary equipment to your home or care setting, ensuring the same high standard of care you’d receive in a traditional practice.

- 04No referral is required. You can book directly with us by phone, email, or through our online enquiry form. We will arrange a convenient appointment time that suits you or your care home.
- 05Yes. We regularly provide eye care services in care homes and residential facilities across the UK. We work closely with care staff to ensure all residents are comfortable and that each examination is carried out safely and respectfully.
- 06We always obtain informed consent before providing care. If a resident has reduced capacity to consent (for example, due to dementia), we act in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, obtaining consent from a next of kin or legal representative.
- 07We offer a reglazing service — fitting new lenses into your existing frames. However, this service is at the customer’s own risk, as there is always a small possibility of frame damage due to age, heat, or material condition. We take every precaution, but cannot accept responsibility for breakages during reglazing.
- 08If you experience lens intolerance or any frame defect within the first 30 days of receiving your glasses, we offer a free replacement or refund. All refunds are processed promptly once the item is returned and assessed.
- 09If your frame is found to be faulty within the first 30 days, you’re eligible for a refund or replacement. After 30 days, we’ll assess issues on a case-by-case basis to provide the most suitable solution.
- 10We work in partnership with Clarity Ear Clinic to provide hearing care and hearing aid services. For more information, please visit Clarity Ear Clinic’s own website, where their dedicated team can assist you.
- 11You don’t need to do anything special — simply make sure you have a comfortable, well-lit space for the test. Please have your current glasses (if any) and a list of your medications available, as these help our optometrist provide the best possible care.
- 12A typical eye examination takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your needs. Extra time is taken to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the process.
- 13We offer a wide range of frames and lenses, suitable for all budgets and prescriptions. Our optometrist brings a selection of frames to your appointment so you can choose comfortably from home.
- 14If you are eligible for NHS-funded domiciliary sight tests, we can provide the service free of charge under the General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) scheme. We can confirm your eligibility when booking. Private eye exams are also available for those not covered.
- 15Your personal and medical information is protected under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. We only collect information necessary for your care and never share it with anyone without consent, except where required by law or for medical referral.
