Clearsight Domiciliary conducted research to discover what care home employees and family members needed to know about their resident’s or family member’s eye health. FREE Staff Training Sessions

We know that you want the best for your residents and that you are continually looking for ways to enhance your level of care. At Clearsight Domiciliary we are here to support you by offering enhanced eyecare training to staff, at no cost. Our eyecare training session is one hour long and can accommodate as many staff as you wish to participate.

During the session we discuss the following topics:

Aging and its effect on eyesight.
Non-eye related conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Arthritis, and how they affect eyesight and mobility.
Staff participate in an interactive scenario where they “step into the resident’s shoes.” They wear frames which simulate resident’s eye conditions. They are then asked to complete daily activities such as eating with a knife and fork. Those who experience the challenges faced by residents can better empathise and respond more effectively to problems as they arise.
